The Trade Commission of Spain Announces Spain's Great Match 2015 Seminar Schedule
New York, NY (PRWEB) September 01, 2015 -- The Trade Commission of Spain will be hosting the 22nd annual Spain’s Great Match event on October 7th in New York’s iconic IAC HQ Building. A second event will be held in Houston, Texas in November. This collaborative extravaganza with the Tourism Office of Spain in New York, Foods from Spain and Interiors from Spain celebrates the distinctive wines, food and culture of Spain. Over 300 wines representing the varietals and wine regions of Spain will be featured in a walk-around tasting format. Importers and distributors of Spanish wines will present their best products, including new wines and the latest vintages, to wine industry professionals and consumers.
In the afternoon, select members of the wine trade and press will be invited to a panel discussion, “My Spain,” during which Karen MacNeil, author of The Wine Bible, will moderate as three wine experts share the Spanish wines that “changed their worlds.” Additional seminars focusing on the Bobal grape and the wines of Somontano will also be held later in the afternoon. In the evening, the Great Match will open to the public for a ticketed lifestyle event and will feature, along with the wine stations, food from ten of New York City’s top Spanish restaurants and tapas bars, a Rioja lounge with live music and contemporary Spanish designed furnishings.
