Active Safety Vehicle Technologies the Focus of SAE International Symposium in November
WARRENDALE, Pa. (PRWEB) August 27, 2015 -- Many of the latest safety technologies will be discussed at the SAE 2015 Active Safety Systems Symposium, slated for Nov. 4-5 at the Inn at St. John’s in Plymouth, Mich.
In addition to the latest safety technologies, the symposium will feature OEM applications of near-term and long-term active safety systems, along with experts who will speak about the challenges in implementing this technology, consumer acceptance, and the government’s role in developing a strategy for moving towards fully autonomous vehicles.
Keynote speaker for the event will be Jake Fisher, Director of Auto Testing with Consumer Reports. Fisher will address consumer perceptions of advanced safety systems as well as distraction and the “factors” that prompt some drivers to not use these systems.
