This newest client of Ahern’s is looking for industry niches, such as specialized transportation, bulk specialty, hazardous and specialty waste, and heavy haul as well.

Ahern & Associates, the premier transportation and M&A advisory firm, has announced that it has recently acquired its newest client. The client specializes in bulk chemicals, flatbed, hazardous waste, environmental, and industrial services. Ahern & Associates has released that the client is interested in expanding its operating footprint in the Midwest, Mid-Atlantic, and the Plains states.

Preferred candidates will generate $10M-$50M of annual revenue, and $3M-$10M of EBITDA. The client prefers asset-light, if possible, but it is not necessarily required. This newest client of Ahern’s is looking for industry niches, such as specialized transportation, bulk specialty, hazardous and specialty waste, and heavy haul as well.

Additionally, this client is also very active in the environment services industry, and is looking for trucking companies that focus on remediation work for pipelines and industrial niches, excluding industrial vac truck work. The client is also looking for companies that focus on civil work that is focused on municipalities.

A third component of its business is logistics, 3PL, and freight brokerage. The client is looking for management that is willing to stay on and continue to grow the company; the management team must be solid, and have reason for wanting to stay. The company needs to be financially sound, and the client is not interested in any turnaround situations.

This year marks the 28th year in business for Ahern & Associates; 100% of the practice is involved in transportation, logistics, and warehousing. Half of the firm’s business is providing M&A advisory services to clients throughout Canada and the United States.
