New Study Finds Multivitamins Extend Life After Stroke, Retailer Reports
Freeport, ME (PRWEB) September 01, 2015 -- Royal River Natural Foods, a locally-owned independent natural health store in Freeport, Maine, reports a large, new study that followed men and women for 19 years and found that, among those who had a stroke, people who used multivitamins survived longer than those who did not take multivitamins.
The report is part of the September 2015 issue of “Natural Insights for Well Being,” which Royal River Natural Foods publishes free each month to report the latest scientific evidence of the benefits of good diet, nutrition, and lifestyle for the Freeport community. Also in the September issue, women who took a multivitamin reported being in a better mood and having less stress. Older men and women who took omega-3s had larger, stronger muscles, and those with the most fiber in their diet were less likely to develop type 2 diabetes, among other important findings.
“With the stress of everyday life and aging, one of the things you can do to feel better and increase your quality of life is to make sure you are getting the right nutrition,” Supplement Manager Becky Foster said. “New findings this month include studies in scientific journals such as the ‘American Journal of Clinical Nutrition,’ the journals ‘Age,’ and ‘Clinical Journal of Pain,’ and the journal ‘Nutrition, Metabolism & Cardiovascular Diseases,’ among others,” Foster said.
All those who wish to gain more valuable nutritional knowledge are encouraged to stop in and pick up the September issue of “Natural Insights for Well Being” and meet the friendly, knowledgeable staff.
