New content management solution for Bundesliga websites improves flexibility, speed, multilingual capabilities and overall usability.

The German soccer league (DFL Digital Sports) has joined forces with e-Spirit to future-proof its content management system (CMS) and make website updates quicker and more flexible. The company's CMS solution FirstSpirit is now supporting DFL Digital Sports in making the websites of the Bundesliga (the German equivalent of the U.S. Soccer Federation) more modern, exciting and interactive for football fans.

As part of the new centralized platform for Bundesliga.com and Bundesliga.de, FirstSpirit makes it easier to create, reuse and distribute content across the different league websites as well as share it with external partners. Current match information, scores, statistics and news from the Bundesliga can now be published in real time. The CMS automatically ensures that the content is correctly shared across all channels and devices.

FirstSpirit is the central editorial interface for creating the Bundesliga Web experience. To allow editors to easily access all necessary functions and content from neighboring systems, without system interruptions or a high manual workload, existing solutions for Product Information Management (PIM), Media Asset Management (MAM) and video management have been seamlessly integrated into the CMS using standard interfaces.
