Ilene Katz Kobert, a Shareholder in the Miami Real Estate Practice of international law firm Greenberg Traurig, P.A., has secured a long-term lease in Miami’s Design District for Italian luxury lifestyle brand Stefano Ricci.
Thor Equities recently bought the 5,700-square-foot, two-story retail building at 20 Northeast 39th Street. Stefano Ricci plans to make a substantial investment in remodeling the building’s interior and exterior.
The new store will become the brand’s third U.S. flagship store and first in the Southeast, with other flagships in New York and Beverly Hills. The Stefano Ricci brand includes men’s apparel and accessories, home décor, fragrances, wine, and custom yacht interiors.
“It’s another vote of confidence for the Design District’s success by a top luxury retail brand looking to establish a premier location in the region,” Kobert said. “Stefano Ricci’s substantial investment will even further enhance the Design District’s reputation and appeal.”
Stefano Ricci will join designer boutiques Louis Vuitton, Zegna, Tiffany’s, Cartier, Hermes, Tom Ford, Burberry, Dior, Rolex, Longchamp, Panerai, and Givenchy in the Design District’s transformation to a luxury shopping, dining, and design destination.
Kobert represents landlords, tenants, buyers, and sellers in leases, acquisitions, dispositions, and development of commercial real estate throughout Florida and the nation. Her wide-ranging experience includes counseling clients on retail and restaurant deals, including Burger King Corporation, Checkers Drive-In Restaurants, CVS, Bubbleology, Bridgestone/Firestone, Mellow Mushroom, Choices Café, Cavo Astoria, Gentle Dental, and Auto Zone, as well as substantial franchise law experience. Before joining Greenberg Traurig, Kobert was in-house counsel at Burger King Corporation.
