Haiku Learning Named Indiana Companies to Watch Spotlight Award Winner
Goshen, Indiana (PRWEB) September 03, 2015 -- Haiku Learning, a renowned K-12 digital learning platform, was the recipient of one of five Spotlight Awards at the sixth annual Indiana Companies to Watch ceremony held last week in Indianapolis.
The Companies to Watch Spotlight Award is presented by the State of Indiana and the Office of Small Business and Entrepreneurship (OSBE) and endorsed by the Edward Lowe Foundation. The Spotlight Award recognizes past Companies to Watch honorees that have demonstrated continued growth, success, and commitment to Indiana since receiving their Companies to Watch award.
“Our vision has grown worldwide in scope, but our heart remains in Indiana, and we're so honored to be recognized by our fellow Hoosiers,” said Bryan Falcón, CEO and cofounder of Haiku Learning.
Earlier this month, Haiku Learning also joined forces with Goshen Community Schools in Indiana, their “hometown” school district, to power blended learning in the district.
“We’re going to maximize the close proximity to our company headquarters, “ said Falcón. “We’re looking forward to many school visits, observations, and feedback from the students and faculty in Goshen, so we can continue to build a product made for 21st century teaching and learning.”
Since its inception, Haiku Learning has grown to 2.5 million global users of their online learning platform and boasts a 98 percent school retention rate. Its platform is distinguished by its unique system of pages and content blocks, which teachers can move around and create contextualized learning paths.
“We designed Haiku Learning to give educators the utmost flexibility in shaping learning experiences,” said Falcón. “Schools are preparing students for jobs that don’t even exist today, and they need the flexibility to do that.”
