This past winter, the Steamboat completed luxurious bathroom renovations in 60 guest rooms – which included the full redesign of 40 guest bath areas on the Promenade Deck (first level) and 20 guest bathrooms on the Sun Deck (third level).
These bath area enhancements included gorgeous granite, marble and tile offerings that featured nautical themed “wood” tiles flooring and Victorian themed glass enclosed tiled shower and tub areas. In addition, guest rooms were treated to lush new carpeting and sumptuous premium bedding. Plans are already underway for this winter’s completion of the Inn’s final 37 rooms with equally well-appointed guest bath renovations.

According to Joseph Chiccarine, the hotel’s General Manager, “Guests always enjoy returning each year to see what improvements were made to the hotel during the winter; and this year was especially well-received because of the beautiful changes to the guest bath areas.” Chiccarine shared that most of the ideas for improvements come directly from guest comments. “We read every comment and brainstorm ways to address those comments in ways we feel will make the greatest impact for our guests.” And although Chiccarine wouldn’t elaborate, he said other surprise additions and improvements to the hotel were also in the works.
