FileCatalyst partners with Apace to ensure secure, fast, reliable file transfers within their storage and MAM solutions

Apace Systems excels in addressing a wide spectrum of media content workflows and management via offering network storage platforms that can address real-time collaborative editing, media management, and local and remote accessing to near-line archival needs of media companies. By integrating FileCatalyst accelerated file transfer solutions, users of Apace can now send files of any type and size, at speeds of up to 10Gbps.
The integration of FileCatalyst with Apace Media storage cluster (vStor, eStor, CFM product lines) and Apace Media Asset Management (MAM)—called postMAM or production MAM—offers an intelligent accelerated workflow between the two companies’ products. Apace Storage servers are easily seen as network mount points by the FileCatalyst server. At a higher functional hierarchy, Apace MAM’s workflow automation layer, running on top of the Apace Storage server cluster, manages the seamless passing of data between the Apace Storage and MAM layer to and from FileCatalyst for expedited transport. The process is enabled through automation tasks as units of work within Apace’s MAM that facilitate a handshake between Apace MAM/Storage and the FileCatalyst application server.
