Wakefield, MA (PRWEB) September 03, 2015 -- In a blended classroom, teachers must be able to share, modify, and customize content to meet each student’s learning style. The latest update to the JogNog Assessment System enables teachers to take a JogNog-certified quiz for a particular learning standard, modify it by removing and adding questions, and then, with a single click, share that new quiz with other teachers. JogNog also adds to its toolkit for mastery learning with the “Learn more” button. This button can be pressed by a student having difficulty answering a particular question. JogNog then provides an explanation or fact to help the student determine the correct answer through deductive reasoning, rather than providing just a hint or eliminating an incorrect answer.
“One of the most important requests we have received from teachers in the past school year is the ability to share and improve quiz questions by collaborating with other teachers in their school,” said Steve Smith, CEO and co-founder of JogNog. “Collaborative assessment in JogNog will result in teachers getting quiz questions that better match their specific academic standards and that are in sync with other teachers.”
With the latest JogNog release, students also gain a more customized experience in JogNog. Each student’s personal JogNog home page now displays their progress on each quiz to further motivate them as they use JogNog for learning. They can now design their own avatars in unique ways that allow them to express themselves. The avatar design feature allows students to have personal investment in their learning accomplishments and motivates them to learn through extrinsic rewards. Students are motivated to review and answer more questions to earn coins that can purchase unique characteristics for their avatar.
