Afinia 3D Announces their ES360 Desktop 3D Scanner
Chanhassen, MINN (PRWEB) September 03, 2015 -- Afinia’s award-winning H-Series Desktop 3D Printer family has a new member: The Afinia 3D ES360 Desktop 3D Scanner.
The new Afinia ES360 3D Desktop Scanner delivers high-accuracy 3D scanning faster than ever before, and will become available in Fall 2015 with a street price of $1,099.
Using safe, white light scanning, the ES360 Desktop 3D Scanner is easy enough for anyone to use. Just “click” the start button, and the scan process will turn your object into a 3D model that can be printed on a 3D printer, like Afinia’s award-winning H480 or H800. The ES360 is lightweight, at less than 8 lbs, allowing for easy transportation. The scanner also has the added feature of capturing color texture during the scanning process.
“Our ES360 gives owners a great experience, right out-of-the-box, just like our award-winning H-Series Desktop 3D Printers. Now, Afiniacs have an end-to-end solution for education, engineering, and hobbyist applications,” remarked John Westrum, Afinia 3D’s Vice President and Education Channel Lead. “Its white light scanning technology is great for classroom, office, and home use – white light scanners don’t have the same safety concerns that the more common laser light 3D scanners do. It’s also quite a bit faster than most laser scanners.”
The ES360 is the only two-scan-mode scanner on the market. Users can choose between automatic scan or free scan, depending on their needs, and the size of the object. Automatic scan mode allows for a maximum scan size of 215x215x200mm while the free scan mode allows for a maximum scan size of 700x700x700mm. Smaller models can be printed on the Afinia 3D H480, while larger models up to 255x205x205mm can be printed on the Afinia 3D H800.
