Bid Farewell to Summer and Our Furry Friends this “Lemur” Day Weekend at the South Carolina Aquarium
Charleston, S.C. (PRWEB) September 03, 2015 -- September 3, 2015— Lemurs are taking over Labor Day Weekend at the South Carolina Aquarium. Join the festivities this “Lemur” Day Weekend as we bid farewell to our four furry and playful friends with special celebratory activities. Chandler, Cebes, Herodotus and Limerick, are continuing their journey and moving to the Minnesota Zoo. Visit the Aquarium now through Monday, Sept. 7 for your last chance to “hang” with the lemur family. Guests can share their well wishes with the lemurs by writing a note on a postcard located at the exhibit and putting it in their special suitcase. The lemurs will also enjoy enrichment activities on Sept. 7, at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., including a special frozen treat! Enrichment has always been a crucial part of caring for the lemurs, offering physical and visual stimulation for these inquisitive primates. Don’t miss your last chance to watch the ring-tailed lemurs play in their exhibit.
Follow the South Carolina Aquarium on Facebook and Twitter for the announcement about the new animals that will call the lemur exhibit home. “Lemur” Day Weekend is included with general admission to the Aquarium. For more information, visit scaquarium.org or call (843) 577-FISH (3474).
