Alive Studios has embraced a mission to equip teachers with engaging technology that helps early learners become proficient in reading and math by 3rd grade. “Getting our reading and math learning kits onto DonorsChoose.org through our partnership with Kaplan Early Learning Company will help more classrooms benefit from this engaging technology,” stated Cynthia B. Kaye, CEO and Chief Zoo Keeper of Alive Studios.

“Technology is now a vital tool in classrooms, but our unique software using Augmented Reality (3D without glasses) for teaching reading and math to early learners is not always affordable to underfunded schools,” Kaye added. DonorsChoose.org makes it easy for anyone to help a classroom in need. Public school teachers from every corner of America post classroom project requests, and donors can give any amount to the project that inspires them. Over 70% of their projects are getting funded as they gain popularity amongst educators and would-be donors.

Alive Studios’ flagship products include Letters alive and Math alive, both of which are the first in the world to utilize Augmented Reality within a full-year curriculum for early learners. Independent research conducted by the University of West Georgia studied the effects of using Augmented Reality within an educational curriculum. The study proved an increase in engagement and a dramatic improvement in students’ retention of information, both of which contribute to the required proficiencies for success.

Kaplan Early Learning Company carries Letters alive and Math alive (or sold together as Learning alive) and will feature them in their 2016 catalogs. Our relationships with DonorsChoose.org and Alive Studios enable us to do just that,” said Travis Williams, Elementary Merchandiser at Kaplan Early Learning Company. Kaye added, “We are so excited for what DonorsChoose.org is doing for classrooms around the country and to be a small part of their vision.”
