WIPP International President Jennifer Bisceglie to Participate in the W20

WIPP International announced today that President Jennifer Bisceglie will be participating in the Women-20 (W20), a new engagement group established by the G20 to focus on promoting gender-inclusive economic growth. The mandate for the W20 helps realize progress on the stated G20 commitments of advancing the economic and social participation of women, expanding the financial participation and education of women, and reducing the gender gap in economic participation rates in G20 countries by 25 percent by 2025 as well as promoting women’s entrepreneurship, women’s leadership in business and the public sector, and healthcare to further gender economic inclusiveness.

It is imperative that we in the W20 use our collective voice to advance policies that will foster the increased participation of women in the labor market, and develop new women-owned businesses.

Women Impacting Public Policy International (WIPP International) whose mission is to build powerful collaborative networks among leading women-led organizations, announced today that President Jennifer Bisceglie will be participating in the Women-20 (W20), a new engagement group established by the G20 to focus on promoting gender-inclusive economic growth.

The mandate for the W20 helps realize progress on the stated G20 commitments of advancing the economic and social participation of women, expanding the financial participation and education of women, and reducing the gender gap in economic participation rates in G20 countries by 25 percent by 2025. According to the W20, additional areas of focus include promoting women’s entrepreneurship, women’s leadership in business and the public sector, and healthcare to further gender economic inclusiveness.

“I am humbled to have been nominated by the White House to participate in such a historic group,” said Jennifer Bisceglie, who is also CEO of Interos Solutions, Inc. “We are at a critical point in our history where the contributions of women to the global economy are finally being recognized. It is imperative that we in the W20 use our collective voice to advance policies that will foster the increased participation of women in the labor market, and develop new women-owned businesses.”

Being held in Ankara, the W20 Official Launch event will be live streamed through W20’s website, http://www.w20turkey.org on 6 September 2015 between 09:00-17:00 Turkish Time (GMT+2). Keynote speakers include several notable world leaders: Christine Lagarde, Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund; Angel Gurría, Secretary-General of The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Arancha González, Executive Director of the International Trade Centre; and M. Rıfat Hisarcıklıoğlu, Chair of B20 Turkey.
