Nation’s Top Speakers to Inspire Students Across America at First Annual Success Summit
Loveland, Colorado (PRWEB) September 08, 2015 -- On September 17, 2015, top motivational and life-changing speakers from around the nation will gather at the Budweiser Event Center in Loveland, Colorado to speak with high school students at the first annual Success Summit (S2). The summit will also be simulcast via the Internet to high school and college student classrooms across America and around the world.
“The time has come to target youth for substance and significance and to provide ideas to help them live a life equal to their potential,” said Mark Hoog, author, speaker and founder of the Children’s Leadership Institute, a non-profit organization presenting the summit. “The time has come to help our youth realize their potential and treat them as more than just another consumer demographic. The time for ‘stuff’ is over. The time for substance is now.”
An event created specifically for high school seniors and college students, the Success Summit introduces youth to the ideas, beliefs and behaviors associated with personal growth, leadership and life possibility. The event features some of the top speakers in the world: Mark Hoog, Patty Kennedy, Jared Campbell, Kevin Bracy, Dave Gamache and YouTube sensation Eric Thomas.
The Success Summit begins at 8:00 a.m. and will be attended by nearly 3,000 students and special guests, including high school senior classes from Colorado Springs, Denver, Fort Collins, and over 10 other cities from around the state of Colorado. Chick-fil-A will be providing a catered lunch to the attendees.
“The turnout from around Colorado has been tremendous,” said Dave Gamache, founder of Character University and emcee of the Success Summit. “But where this event will really shine is our ability to reach tens of thousands of students across America via the Internet simulcast. We’re not only changing lives here in Colorado, but we’ll be able to reach lives across the nation.”
The Success Summit’s powerful message has captured the attention of high school principals from around the country, and high schools from over 15 states are already scheduled to attend the simulcast. “I believe it is important for our students to learn beyond the walls of the school and gain skills that will translate into success in life, not only the classroom,” said Heidi Ringer, principal of Skyline High School in Longmont, Colorado. “The Success Summit is an opportunity for our seniors to begin the year with an eye on leadership, confidence and setting goals beyond high school.”
“Northern Colorado has always been home,” added Mr. Hoog. “After speaking around the country for the last decade, I want to bring the message home to my community: home to youth in Northern Colorado. This day is about them… and about their possibility.”
The Success Summit is sponsored by Chick-fil-A, Water Valley, Colorado Eagles, University of Northern Colorado, Unify, Hensel Phelps Construction, Brinkman, Orthopedic Center of the Rockies, McWhinney, Sertoma, Bank of Colorado, Mortenson Construction, EKS&H, Great Western Bank, LPR Construction, Saunders Construction, Neenan, Growing Field Books, Character University, and Wells Fargo Wealth Management Group/Justin Davis.
“We want to invest in tomorrow’s leaders today,” said Ken Rotramel, Chick-fil-A operator from Greeley, CO. “One way to do that is to partner with organizations like the Children’s Leadership Institute that focus on youth leadership.”
Jeff Darnell, executive director of Hensel Phelps, added, “We are committed to building a sustainable future and a key component of that is investing in our youth. The Success Summit is a great opportunity to do just that.”
