IDEO is a world renowned design and innovation firm that uses a human-centered, design-based approach to helping organizations in the public and private sectors innovate and grow. IDEO’s mission is to uncover latent needs, behaviors and desires. Paul Bennett, as Chief Creative Officer, is at the helm of many of these new innovations. One such vision is The Powerful Now (http://thepowerfulnow.com/), a collaboration led by Kyu, SYPartners and IDEO, which is fueling the growing global movement around positive aging for all.

The Powerful Now states “aging is being redefined. Not as a path of decline, but one of renewal.” The Powerful Now believes people wish to become more curious, more engaged, more vibrate, and more deeply connected to the idea and people who matter to them as they age. It will bring power of creativity to how we conceive of, design and experience aging.

“Louisville, as the largest hub of companies and organizations focused on lifelong wellness and aging care is an ideal place to share the vision of The Powerful Now,” said Bennett. “I’m thrilled to be part of the Summit conversations and look forward to these two days of the best minds collaborating on the future of aging care, on how to redefine aging not as decline, but as renewal!”

The Louisville Innovation Summit brings together 500 healthcare executives and technology entrepreneurs to provide insight, share expertise and explore new avenues to create the future of aging care. It features more than 60 industry visionary speakers and a Startup Pitch Event showcasing 15 companies with innovative health technologies to enhance the lives of senior adults.

With 21,000+ professionals producing more than $50 billion in revenue, Louisville is home to the nation’s largest collection of headquarters in nursing home, rehabilitation, assisted living and home health administration. This large industry base makes Louisville the natural place to chart the future of the industry. Guided and supported by Louisville-based Founding Partners Delta Dental of Kentucky, Humana, Kindred, ResCare, Signature and Trilogy, the Louisville Innovation Summit promises to be an enlightening experience.

As IDEO’s Chief Creative Officer, Paul Bennett works with clients, partners, and colleagues to bring to market human-centric, commercially successful, and socially significant new businesses, products, services, and experiences. He is responsible for content excellence across IDEO, and is active in developing and publishing new thinking in the field of human-centered and design-led innovation. Paul has been a speaker at such conferences including The World Economic Forum and TED and his thoughts have been published in articles in outlets including the Financial Times, The Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg Businessweek and Harvard Business Review.

Bennett’s conversation on The Powerful Now will be at 11 am, Wednesday, October 14, 2015.
