Sport Court to Provide Safe Play Surface for Carter’s Kids and NY Youth Project Was Featured on Good Morning America Today
Salt Lake City, UT (PRWEB) September 07, 2015 -- Sport Court has been chosen by the youth fitness-focused charity Carter’s Kids to install a Sport Court® brand modular playing surface at the Cecil H. Parker Elementary School in Mt. Vernon, NY. The project was featured this morning on Good Morning America.
“Sport Court is extremely proud to partner with Carter’s Kids to provide a safe, modular court surface for youth at the Cecil H. Parker Elementary School,” said Sport Court Director of Distribution Sales Joe Ure. “Our goal at Sport Court through our Courts for Community initiative continues to provide the safest and best modular courts so that sports can be played on surfaces that are both physically appealing and safe.”
Parker Elementary school youth and the New Flex Basketball program can now play basketball on a 35’ x 60’ court that was constructed using the Sport Court PowerGame™ high-performance safety surface.
“At Carter’s Kids, we have a mission to provide play spaces that encourage physical activity in children. We were very excited when Good Morning America asked us to be involved in a very special project in New York, a project that included a new basketball court being built for a community school. For us, it was an easy decision on who we would partner with to build the new basketball court. Sport Court provides everything that you would look for in building a new court….everything from design, to logistics and installation is handled in the best way possible. The court that was built as part of this community project, now not only is used by the elementary school children on a daily basis, but also is the primary court used by the New Flex basketball program, which teaches hundreds of children how to play basketball. Sport Court was definitely the right choice for us!” said Quay Chilcott, Executive Director of Carter’s Kids
