Tampa, FL (PRWEB) September 09, 2015
Argus Dental and Vision received the prestigious dental accreditation of the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care, Inc. The reaccreditation of the Argus Plans followed a rigorous multi-day on-site audit that involved numerous surveyors reviewing documents, conducting provider office site visits, and interviewing staff and doctors. The extent of examination and inspection included Member Rights, Governance, Provider Network, Credentialing, Case Management, Quality Improvement, Clinical Records, Health Education, and Dental Services.
Stephen A Martin, Jr., PhD., M.P.H. President and CEO of AAAHC stated: “AAAHC accreditation is a significant achievement. Granting accreditation reflects confidence, based on evidence from this recent survey, that you meet AAAHC Standards and will continue to demonstrate the attributes of an accreditable organization.”
The audit was completed at a time when Argus Dental and Vision membership base had substantially grown with a recent integration of over 310,000 new dental members. “A successful integration could not have been possible without dedicated staff and our recent technology systems enhancements. We are very thrilled to receive the AAAHC accreditation and continually focus upon improvements to provide consistent quality service and value to our members,“ said Michelle Backlund, MBA, Argus Chief Operations Officer.
CEO Dr. Nicholas M. Kavouklis stated: “Our early planning and strategy for growth recognized the critical importance of building upon a strong foundation. Reaching our company milestone of three quarters of a million members could only be accomplished by concentrating on being efficient, organized and industry compliant. Earning our second 3-year AAAHC accreditation validates our attention to detail and the diligence of our experienced associates.”
