Summit Medical Group Foundation Offers Medical Resident Scholarship
Berkeley Heights, NJ (PRWEB) September 10, 2015 -- The Summit Medical Group Foundation (“SMGF”) is pleased to announce that the Steven and Beverly Rubenstein Foundation has made a generous gift of $25,000 to SMGF’s scholarship program. SMGF is now able to offer up to $25,000 in scholarship funds to a current medical resident pursuing his or her medical career in the field of Oncology. Applications are due no later than Wednesday, September 23, 2015.
“We are very grateful to the Rubenstein Foundation for making it possible for SMGF to provide these funds to a medical student pursuing a career in oncology,” notes SMGF President, Steven Kaye, CFP, CLU, ChFC, RHU, CEBS, AAMS, CRC, AIF. “SMGF is actively engaging the next generation of medical professionals through our very successful education programs.”
To be eligible, an applicant must be a medical resident who is planning to pursue an oncology fellowship in New Jersey. In addition, the applicant must:
• Be a US citizen or permanent US resident
• Provide medical school transcripts
• Attach 2 letters of recommendation from professionals in your area of study.
• Complete the scholarship application including written essay of 500 words or less addressing the applicant's statement of interest, academic goals and description of how this career choice can make a difference in the care of individuals with cancer.
Applications must be submitted online at http://www.smg-foundation.org. The deadline for applications is Wednesday, September 23, 2015.
