Acculynk, a leading technology driven payment processor, has completed its implementation and “gone-live” with the City of College Park. Acculynk was awarded the contract in late June with the intent to deliver a unique and multi-channel solution that facilitates the payment of utility bills for the citizens of College Park. After conducting an extensive evaluation with many other providers in the sector, including the incumbent, College Park selected Acculynk based on its differentiated value proposition and ability to help underbanked and unbanked residents conduct electronic payments.
Acculynk’s omni-channel solution includes mobile, Web and IVR. These channels will uniquely support Acculynk’s internet PIN debit solution – PaySecure®, as well as credit card, signature debit, PINless debit, government issued debit cards, pre-paid cards, and ACH (e-check). Specifically, Acculynk’s PaySecure® solution permits PIN enabled debit card users to enter their PIN for e- and m- commerce, ensuring a second layer of authentication and a more secure transaction.
“We are proud to have launched our solution with the City of College Park and look forward to helping the municipality increase online adoption of bill payments,” said Michael DiTano, GM of Municipal Solutions at Acculynk. “Acculynk’s unique solution is ideally suited to empower constituents, such as the underbanked, to engage in online bill payment via Web or mobile. Acculynk will work with the City of College Park to develop marketing initiatives to drive electronic payment adoption and educate customers on the ease and efficiency of online payments.”
“We were pleased with the professionalism of the Acculynk team and ease of implementation of their solution,” said Derrick Cannon, Director of Finance and Accounting at College Park. “We look forward to seeing the value of Accuynk’s PIN debit solution and the core functionality of its solution.
“Since launching its array of municipal solutions approximately 18 months ago, Acculynk has distanced itself from a series of incumbents, which have struggled to adopt the more modern payment types such as Internet Pin Debit,” stated Mike DiTano.
Acculynk secures online transactions with a suite of software services backed by a patented authentication and encryption framework that provides greater security for issuers, EFT networks, merchants and payment processors. Acculynk’s PaySecure® utilizes a graphical PIN-pad for the secure entry of a consumer’s PIN online and is available to merchants through existing acquirer relationships, enabling speedy implementation. PaySecure is currently enabled for over 6,000 merchant websites. Acculynk has partnerships with 11 EFT networks and six leading payment processors to process PaySecure transactions. Certifications include; PULSE, First Data, and Master Card, among other key industry leaders.
Acculynk’s Municipal Services Division is an omni-channel online bill payment solution for municipalities and utilities. Municipal solutions include mobile, web, point-of-sale, and IVR. These channels uniquely support Acculynk’s internet PIN debit solution – PaySecure®, as well as credit card, signature debit, PINless debit, government issued debit cards, pre-paid cards, and ACH (e-check). Acculynk’s PaySecure® solution uniquely permits PIN enabled debit/ATM card users to enter their PIN for e- and m- commerce, ensuring a larger user base, a second layer of authentication and a more secure transaction. Acculynk enhances electronic payment capabilities for municipalities, resulting in increased user adoption and satisfaction.
