San Gabriel, CA (PRWEB) September 11, 2015
Back by popular demand, Southern California Children’s Museum announces its third annual Touch-a-Truck event for residents of the San Gabriel Valley and beyond.
This 100% hands-on exhibit drives imagination by bringing to life a child’s favorite toy truck or tractor, and putting him/her in the driver’s seat. Children can climb, touch, honk, and pretend to drive a variety of large trucks, heavy machinery, emergency and recreational vehicles. Also expect themed crowd-pleasers such as the Beach Ball Dump and Cozy Coupe Carwash.
Designed for families with children under the age of eight, people of all ages will enjoy getting up close and personal with full-sized earth movers, dump trucks, cement mixers, garbage trucks and more. Young children, and those with sensitive ears, will appreciate the “No Horns” hour from 9:00am – 10:00am. Goodie bags will be available while supplies last.
“We can’t wait to hold our third Touch-a-Truck event in just a couple of weeks! This event truly embodies the type of interactive and play-based experiences Southern California Children’s Museum strives to provide at every turn,” said Catherine Welch, founder and president of the Museum. “It’s impossible not to smile as we watch 1000s of kids put their imaginations to work and experience the thrill of being behind the wheel of their favorite vehicle.”
Food and drinks, including Hot Dog on a Stick, water, shave-ice, and more will be available for purchase. With plans to top last year’s 2500-person attendance, the 2015 Touch-a-Truck likely will be one of this year’s most popular local family events.
