PACENow Launches PACENation to Build the PACE Marketplace.
Pleasantville, NY (PRWEB) September 09, 2015 -- PACENow, the national advocate for PACE financing, announces the launch of PACENation as a movement of people and organizations who are joined in their support for PACE financing. Now those who are united in their efforts to build a vibrant PACE marketplace can belong to an organization that serves their needs. While members may have different individual goals, but they share a desire to create energy and resource efficient communities. You, your colleagues, and the organizations you represent are invited to join and lend your voices to thousands of others. Becoming a member of PACENation reflects a commitment to our shared objective: making PACE financing available throughout the United States.
David Gabrielson, Executive Director of PACENow, making the announcement today, said, “We are thrilled to have launched PACENation! This initiative will help us weave together various PACE market participants and it will serve as a platform for increased market collaboration. Let’s build this marketplace together!”
“PACENation has one goal: to make our nation’s buildings more energy efficient. PACENow has been at the forefront of PACE market development and we plan to continue providing leadership and resources to this growing industry,” added Jeff Tannenbaum, PACENow Founder.
PACE (Property Assessed Clean Energy) is a simple and effective way to finance energy efficiency, renewable energy, and water conservation upgrades to buildings. PACE can pay for new heating and cooling systems, lighting improvements, solar panels, water pumps, insulation, and more for almost any property – homes, commercial, industrial, non-profit, and agricultural. Introduced in California in 2008, PACE legislation has been adopted in more than 30 states and programs of varying scope are financing energy efficiency, renewable energy and water conservation upgrades. PACENow has been the national non-profit advocate for property assessed clean energy financing programs that local governments can establish to encourage energy efficiency upgrades to buildings.
“The PACE marketplace has grown from a handful of innovators in 2008 to thousands of people today. PACENation will represent this growing marketplace. I encourage every user and provider of PACE to join PACENation” George Caraghiaur, Senior Fellow at PACENow and founder Energy & Sustainability Services LLC.
It is free and easy to join PACENation. Becoming part of PACENation helps us all in many ways. The truth is, people follow leaders, and joining PACENation makes you and your organization leaders that governments, building owners, contractors, lenders, and others will want to follow. PACENation members:
- Believe PACE is a powerful tool for making buildings more energy and resource efficient,
- Strive to create a vibrant market in which PACE financing is universally available and understood by market participants,
- Acknowledge that by helping others they help themselves,
- Promise to support PACE legislation and implementation,
“Clean Fund is at the forefront of market development and proud to be a Founding Member of PACENation. We expect PACENation to help make the PACE financing mechanism available to all building owners in the country”, noted John Kinney, Founder and Executive Chairman of Clean Fund.
“PACENation is a movement open to all -- become a mem¬ber! At Greenworks Lending, we recognize the importance of working collaboratively with other PACE market stakeholders and PACENation allows us to do just that. As a result, PACE financing will become a household name,” said Jessica Bailey, Co-Founder and CEO of Greenworks Lending.
This year, organizations that contribute at certain financial levels will be identified as PACENation Contributors, Supporters, Leaders, or Founders. Membership has responsibilities, but for PACENation members, they’re all designed to help grow PACENation in ways that benefit us all. Here’s what we have in mind:
- Help us develop best practices and standards that work for everyone,
- Share data on projects so we can show growth in our market,
- Network with other members to share your knowl¬edge and experience,
- Be identified as a supporter of PACE and PACENation.
