Peugeot to debut new vehicle concepts at 66th Frankfurt Motor Show
(PRWEB UK) 15 September 2015 -- Peugeot is set to attend this year’s Frankfurt Motor Show, showcasing its latest offering in automotive innovation. Peugeot will reveal its new concept vehicle, the FRACTAL and premiere the New 308 GTi by Peugeot Sport. The automotive manufacturer will also showcase its 308 R HYbrid concept vehicle, first seen at this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed.
The Frankfurt Motor Show, known as the International Automobile Exhibition (IAE), is one of the biggest motor shows worldwide. It will be reopening this September to thousands of exhibitors and motor enthusiasts looking to catch a glimpse of the latest releases from major car manufacturers.
Held every two years, the Frankfurt Motor show traditionally hosts manufacturers from around the world with their new production models and futuristic concepts. This year’s 66thanniversary show will present big opportunity for the European car industry to showcase its latest products and technologies.
This year, the show will have an emphasis on the slogan “mobility connects” highlighting connected and automated driving technology. The 2015 show’s slogan will be reflected in the five themes seen throughout the exhibition. These include: Connected Car, Automated Driving, E-mobility, Urban Mobility, and Mobility Services. The Peugeot line-up will complement the show’s themes, with the New 308 GTi by Peugeot Sport and 308 R HYbrid concept showcasing the latest technologies from the vehicle manufacturer.
Peugeot has historically attended the Frankfurt Motor Show to reveal its latest production and concept cars. In 2009 the RCZ, Peugeot’s best-selling coupe, was unveiled alongside the practical family MPV, the 5008, and the all-electric car, the iOn.
In 2011 the Peugeot HX1 concept car and the new diesel and HYbrid4 technology, in the form of the innovative 508 RXH, was presented at the Frankfurt Motor Show.
In 2013 Peugeot introduced the next generation of its automobiles, with the world premiere of the New 308 hatchback, plus the 308 R concept car and its most powerful production car ever – the RCZ R. The Peugeot 208 T16 Pikes Peak was also revealed along with the endurance race champion, the 208 GTi Nurburgring, and a number of new environmental innovations, including the manufacturer’s new BlueHDi engines, the Peugeot 2008 HYbrid Air and the 208 HYbrid FE ‘demonstrator’.
