NEW YORK, NY (PRWEB) September 12, 2015
The July 2015 issue of Hispanic Outlook in Higher Education Magazine nationally ranked ASA College as the number one provider of two-year health degrees to the Hispanic and Latino community. Additionally, the same article shows that ASA College grants more degrees than many four-year institutions, including many state subsidized schools.
The overall theme of this issue, “Health Care Professionals Issue: Training Culturally Sensitive Doctors” focuses on the great demand for health care workers in this community, including Nurses, Pharmacy Technicians, Medical Assistants and office workers. The goal is to develop and nurture a linguistically competent and culturally sensitive workforce to this under-served community.
“Our commitment to cultural diversity is very strong,” states President Alex Shchegol. “It is an important part of our institutional mission to provide higher education to a diverse and qualified student population. In turn, many of these students will become bilingual professionals who can serve many ethnic communities.”
