Learn Mortgage Announces New State Specific CE Course for California
Columbus, Ohio (PRWEB) September 10, 2015 -- Learn Mortgage, from the Association of Mortgage Educators, announces a new online CE course for mortgage loan originators (MLO) in California. The new 2015 course titled “8 Hour CA-DBO SAFE Comprehensive: Relevant Practices for the MLO” is approved by National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) and satisfies the requirements set forth by the Secure and Fair Enforcement Mortgage Licensing (SAFE) Act for a comprehensive 8-hour continuing education course for MLOs.
“The new mortgage CE course offers timely content from a highly respected instructor,” says Cyndi Donaldson, product manager, Learn Mortgage. “We are very excited to add California to the list of states in which we offer state specific content to mortgage professionals.”
The online course covers topics required by the SAFE Act: (3 hours) of federal law, (2 hours) of ethics (which shall include fraud, consumer protection, and fair lending issues), and (2 hours) of non-traditional mortgage lending, plus (1 hours) state specific information. In California, state specific CE is now a requirement for all MLOS. Requirements by state may vary, so MLOs should verify their state requirements on the NMLS website.
