Alert Software DeskAlerts Receives Glowing Review from NHS
(PRWEB) September 11, 2015 -- The corporate communications solution, DeskAlerts has received a glowing review from Peterborough and Stamford Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust after proving invaluable during a major move.
The Trust chose DeskAlerts as its internal communications notifications system at a challenging time, during a relocation from three outdated buildings to one new state of the art hospital. With budgetary and logistical challenges to contend with, the alert software was selected as a cost effective, efficient and reliable means of messaging Trust stakeholders and more than 3,5000 members of staff throughout the relocation project.
The Trust said, "We have been using DeskAlerts for five years now and find the product excellent at communicating important information to our entire Trust quickly. It is so easy to use and maintain so provides a cost effective solution for “real time” messaging. Originally, used just by the IT team, the product is now in daily use by the Trust’s Communications team to ensure that urgent messages are communicated quickly and clearly to a large number of staff, thus helping to support the delivery of patient care to the highest standard."
“During the move, we had to ensure that there was an effective and robust way of communicating to the trust of any issues, which, at the time, we only had email. The ability to provide instant messages quickly and easily was essential to helping manage the safe transfer of 600 patients and approximately 3,500 staff to our new hospital. We had limited funds, so we choose DeskAlerts to provide a cost-effective solution.”
DeskAlerts account manager Yuri Malykhin said, “We have worked with Peterborough and Stamford Hospitals for several years. It’s an honor to receive such glowing feedback from a long standing client. We’re delighted to have assisted during a challenging period and continue to enjoy a strong working relationship on the back of this.”
Ahead of the move in 2010, DeskAlerts was added to every PC used by the Trust. It was first rolled out as a way to inform staff of system outages when items, equipment and services were moved from one building to the other. As the move continued, the corporate communications tool was used to advise staff members when specific systems were to be moved and then, to notify all relevant personnel when the move caused organizational issues.
The Trust added, “Today, we have been using DeskAlerts for 5 years and find the product very easy to use and works excellently. The client that resides on the PC is small and does not cause any conflict, upgrades to servers and clients are very easy to undertake and the DeskAlerts support team are contactable very quickly if any problems occur (during the 5 years we have not had a single major DeskAlerts problem and have only contacted the team to log a new feature request or for advice.”
The Trust uses a custom template to relay its notifications which feature Trust logos, branding and colors.
