AOMA Graduate School of Integrative Medicine Announces 2015 Commencement Speaker, 1st Doctoral Graduating Class
(PRWEB) September 12, 2015 -- Dr. Christina Sebestyen will deliver the keynote address at the AOMA Graduate School of Integrative Medicine (AOMA) 19th annual commencement ceremony on September 13.
Christina Sebestyen, MD – owner of OBGYN North – has championed the cause of women’s choice in birth options in Austin since arriving in 2006. She completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Harvard Medical School’s Brigham & Women’s/Massachusetts General Hospital's combined program. The Austin Birth Awards Committee has recognized Dr. Sebestyen as Austin’s Best OBGYN.
Dr. Sebestyen will address an expected 33 graduates of the Master and Doctoral Degree programs on Sunday September 13 at the Omni Hotel Southpark in Austin, Texas.
AOMA is honored to present the first doctoral graduating class of 2015. According to President Morris, "Doctoral education is vital to the development of the field of acupuncture and Oriental medicine. It is exciting to see the quality of research being produced by these graduates." The program offers licensed acupuncturists the opportunity to expand their education, gain leadership skills and cultivate expertise in a clinical specialty area through an executive-style two-year program that includes research, externship and coursework.
AOMA graduates are at the forefront of their field, integrating eastern and western medicine in clinics and hospitals. Upon graduation, these 33 professionals will work in independent private practice, multi-disciplinary clinics, substance abuse treatment facilities, hospice programs, oncology centers, community acupuncture clinics, military/veterans facilities, and corporate wellness programs.
