Live Streaming Meets Real Life: Hundreds of Periscopers Will Descend On New York for the First-Ever Mobile Live Streaming Conference Hosted by Periscope Community Summit.
New York (PRWEB) September 10, 2015 -- Live streaming apps have taken the social media world by storm and Periscope is leading the pack. The app has only been around for five months, but already hundreds of Periscope users are coming together in New York from September 22 – 24 for New York Scope Week. Presented by Periscope Community Summit, this is the first user-generated conference of its kind and will take place over three days of ground-breaking speeches, meet ups for all Peri-enthusiasts and a lot of live streaming.
Some of the event highlights include:
- Al Roker, Co-Anchor of NBC's Today Show and CEO of Roker Labs will host an exclusive pre-event roundtable to discuss the impact of mobile live streaming apps and their future use. Roundtable guests include: Jay Manuel, Grant Cardone, Kim Garst, Scott Williams, NY Scope Week organizers, Ryan A. Bell and Cathy Hackl, as well as Lili Salzberg, Periscope’s community manager. The roundtable will take place at MIST Harlem on Sept. 22 at 11a.m. and will be live streamed from the @AlRoker and @RokerLabs Periscope accounts.
- On Sep. 23, attendees will attempt to set the world record for the “Most People Mobile Live Streaming Simultaneously in One Location” from MIST Harlem via Record Setter.
- There will be 7 keynotes and more than 50 speakers and 14 musical performers gracing the NY Scope Week stage.
- A 5k in Central Park, a live global meditation, and many more events scheduled across Manhattan.
