Diamond Minds, LLC announced today the screening of his new Indie Film “Vamp Bikers Dos” at the 2015 Coney Island Film Festival. Eric Rivas has received three consecutive awards since 2012 at the Coney Island Film Festival for his previous films and has also won at the Puerto Rican Heritage Film Festival and appeared 3 times at the New Filmmaker Series at Anthology Film Archives.
The film features a star-studded cast including Angel Salazar (Chi-Chi from Scarface), Lillo Brancato (Calogero Anello from A Bronx Tale, Grandmaster Melle Mel (lead rapper for Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five), Michael Alig (Leader of The Club Kids) and the notorious actors from the 1979 Cult Classic ‘The Warriors’ starring Dorsey Wright AKA “Cleon”, Brian Tyler AKA “Snow”, Geraldine Visco (Woody Allen Stardust Memories) and Apache Ramos the “ORPHAN!”.
‘Vamp Bikers Dos’ depicts a group of witches who descend into a Biker Town and attack the Bikers and Vampires who are converted into slaves and take control but when the Vamp Biker alliance with Vampires is broken they wage a revengeful war against the Vampires for a crime that will be brought to trial.
Eric Rivas casted various casted members from the ‘Forbidden Ones’, Rafael and His motorcycle club contributed their time and Harleys to lend the film an additional touch of authenticity beyond its Coney Island locale. The Forbidden ones also let us shoot in their clubhouse which is unprecedented. They helped us big time with indoor scenes and the authenticity.
This project has been possible through the combined effort of a talented film crew including Eric Spade Rivas (Director Screenplay Editor), new member Martine Emile (Cinematography), Freddy Rosales (First assistant to director-and Production assistant, Prop creation script reader) Rafael Martinez (2nd assistant to director-and Production assistant stunt coordinator location scout -Biker consultant ), Annmarie Fasano (3rd Assistant to the Director and makeup), Manuel Acevedo (4th assistants to the Director), Maria Hoffman (Set Design acting- 5th assistant to director), Lenore Todaro (Head of makeup Dept), Phil DiMaria (actor), John Ramirez - PR, Web & Sound Engineer and Mark Ortiz and Raphael Martinez - who were the Biker consultants. The music was provided by beats mastermind ‘SonOf Sam’, Jeannine Carter (Actress and Finance contributor) and the one and only Rachael Cain AKA (Screamin Rachael - Actress and Co-founder of TRAX Records). It will be showcasing at the Coney Island Film Festival on Sept 19th 2015 at 6:00 pm and will feature films on the subject of Puerto Rico and its people, including those in the Diaspora, or that have a Puerto Rican in a key production role. It will also feature our cast in panels to discuss various related topics.
Also come and meet Mr.“Sheck it out"! The man known as Chi-chi from Scarface who will be doing a special standup comedy presentation at our opening party on Sept 18th at 8:00 PM and meet with our special guest Michael Alig (Leader of The Club Kids). You won't wanna miss it!
