MPTF Supports the Health & Wellness of Pets at MPTF & Mauro Pet Care Dogfest – 2015 Recap
Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) September 16, 2015 -- Hailed as one of the most comprehensive service organizations at the very core of the entertainment industry, the Motion Picture & Television Fund (“MPTF”) provides healthcare, social, and retirement living services to more than 150,000 people each and every year. On Sunday, August 23, 2015, the owners and caring employees of the following companies met as a family to continue this tradition in support of the health and wellness of the furry loved ones residing in the care of the assisted and independent living residents of the MPTF as well as their on-site care givers. In total, more than 58 furry family members were given health screenings, bathed, and fully groomed without charge.
The Mauro team would like to extend a special and loving appreciation and acknowledgement to the 12 selfless professional groomers who gathered the day for the benefit of others:
Owner, Jonelle Shmoldas and volunteer staff at It’s Pawfect of Westlake Village, California.
Owner, Elizabeth Gonzalez and volunteer staff at The Grooming Salon of Woodland Hills, California
Owner Vilma Juarez and volunteer staff at Groomingdale’s Mobile Pet Salon of North Hills, California
In addition to the grooming services provided, a special note of loving appreciation to Brad Kriser of Kriser’s – For Your All Natural Pet for providing nutritional advice, healthy treats and healthy food alternatives for all in attendance. In addition, a special thank you to Brad Kriser for scheduling future on-site educational pet-based nutritional counseling at the MPTF for those with special needs!
For those residents with furry family members of the feline variety, a special note of loving appreciation to Melissa Kann from Adopt and Shop – a Found Animals Foundation for bringing a variety of fine feline treats and products as well as new collars and leashes for those which were in need of replacement.
Finally, the Mauro Pet Care team would like to thank and acknowledge Maranatha Hay of Tower Films for digitally memorializing the day as well as their gracious hosts at the MPTF and their amazing volunteer staff who truly championed the day:
Bob Beitcher, President & CEO and Sharon L. Grundel, Director, Residential Living
The event, over six months in planning, was by far one of the most meaningful events that they have had the privilege and pleasure of being a part of and they simply cannot wait to make the event a yearly tradition.
Notes from our gracious hosts:
“The residents were all blown away by the incredible generosity and caring from everyone who joined the project on Sunday. For many of them, nothing matters more than their 4-leggeds and this was a wonderful opportunity for their loved ones to get totally spoiled. Thank you all SO MUCH.” - Bob Beitcher, President & CEO
“Once again, I can’t thank you and the vendors enough for this wonderful day that you created for the residents, families, volunteer and staff. The pictures speak for themselves. Please share my/our sincere gratitude to all of the wonderful vendors who were all so very kind, caring, loving and patient with the wonderful people who make the MPTF their home. You are all AMAZING!!!” - Sharon L. Grundel, Director, Residential Living
