California Trucking Association Releases Trucking Proud Video in Honor of National Truck Driver Appreciation Week
Sacramento, CA (PRWEB) September 15, 2015 -- Today, the California Trucking Association (CTA) in partnership with AccuSure released a Trucking Proud video in celebration of the 2015 National Truck Driver Appreciation Week.
“Every year, the California Trucking Association joins thousands of Americans across the nation to celebrate a tradition that recognizes the backbone of the industry, professional truck drivers,” said CEO of CTA Shawn Yadon. “These men and women work hard every day to move our economy and connect our communities.”
Since 1988, CTA, along with the American Trucking Associations and the entire trucking industry, have participated in the tradition. Members of CTA will be holding multiple Truck Driver Appreciation (TDA) events throughout California.
“These events are organized by volunteers of the trucking community to honor the 3.2 million professional men and women who deliver our goods safely, securely and on time,” said CTA and Devine Intermodal President Dick Coyle.
Trucking is currently, and is projected to remain, the primary mode of goods movement in California with 80 percent of California communities depending exclusively on trucks. Together, the 33,000 California-based trucking companies and the 622,000 people employed by them haul nearly 90 percent of the manufactured tonnage in the state.
