WOW Company & Polin Waterparks Announce Official Strategic Alliance
Istanbul, Turkey (PRWEB) September 16, 2015 -- WOW Company (Belgium) and Polin Waterparks (Turkey) are proud to announce a new strategic alliance. The partnership will allow Polin to exclusively distribute WOW's unique Wave Ball low-energy wave-generating machines in 39 countries and work as WOW's global sales partner.
Paolo Danubıo, Sales Manager for WOW, described the venture as a way for both companies to drive new growth opportunities. "Their aim is to match the power of both our innovative companies so that they can serve their clients even better and bring more value-added products to them," he said. "The distribution agreement is a natural fit that will allow them to serve the growing demand for these types of products in the aquatics industry."
The companies invite attendees of IAAPA's European Attractions Show (EAS) in Liseberg/Gothenburg, Sweden, Oct. 6-8, to visit their booths to learn more about the partnership, ask questions and see the benefits of the Wave Ball in person. (Polin Waterparks will be located in Booth numbered C110, and WOW Company can be found in Booth A345).
An innovative alliance
Both companies are recognized worldwide for the specialized expertise they offer. Specifically, WOW Company began work in 1988 toward creating the first low-energy consumer wave generator based on the principle of resonance. The company extended his range of products and services and since 1995 is realizing projects for the aeronautical, automototive, medical and biochemistry industries through sisters companies like ACTE, WIN and WOW Technology.
The firm dedicated several years of research and development in its efforts to create a complete range of wave devices that were compliant with industrial quality standards and approved by most international safety-certification bodies, including UTE in France and TÜV in Germany.
It patented the technology and began commercially selling the Wave Ball in 1992. Today, more than 300 of the products are making waves in 46 countries worldwide and in facilities ranging from aquatic parks, campsites, public pools, recreationnal centers, resorts, aquariums, animal tanks, private pools and Rescue and Survival training centers.
A simple appearance using a state of the art technology
Most wave generators - which require pistons, water tanks or fans - consume a lot of energy. Moreover, they create waves that are "lost" afterward. WOW generators work the opposite way. And, despite the Wave Ball's simple, round appearance, it is a product of high-level technology whose development required the expertise of specialists with a wide range of knowledges, from fluid physics and mathematical modeling to mechanics, electronics and data processing.
The product works by combining sensors with powerful software and hardware to fully control the frequency and size of wave production. The system creates a first wave, which spreads through a pool. Then, once that wave reflects off the pool's walls, it returns to the generator, and a computer-management system then controls the required power to amplify (or decrease) the waves produced. The computer allows for real-time control of the waves based on the pool's environment, including the pool configuration and the fluctuation in the number of swimmers.
The product is now available in nine different models: W105FL, W105F, W130FL, W130F, W150FL, W150F, W165FL, W165F and W180F (For details of each, visit: http://wave.wowcompany.com/en/technical/product-range).
A partnership with impact
The arrangement between WOW and Polin will allow the two companies to work together to deliver the Wave Ball's unique, patented technology with both competitive pricing and expanded product offerings to the firms' customers. In addition, the agreement positions the companies to capture market share in new regions and industries that are looking to integrate artificial wave generators into their facilities and take advantage of the latest and most advanced technology.
Kubilay Alpdoğan, Director of Sales and Design, at Polin, says, "Polin believes that the Wave Ball fits well with the needs of Polin's wide range of customers, which includes waterparks and resorts." The company has developed exclusive and successful projects all over the world that vary in size from large-scale and indoor parks to hotels and resorts. "No matter what their size, though," Alpdoğan says, "they are all looking for innovative, safe, long-lasting and profitable products, which the Wave Ball delivers perfectly - high function, an innovative approach and high safety standards."
Polin has developed more than 2,500 waterpark projects in 93 countries worldwide. "The fact that most of Polin's clients are repeat customers demonstrates their commitment to providing them with excellent service, innovation and the finest quality products every time," Alpdoğan adds. "The Wave Ball will be an appealing offer not only for new customers but also for previous customers."
More on WOW
WOW started in 1988. The company's first objective was the development of a low-energy consumer wave generator that worked on the principle of resonance technology. In 1991, after several years of research and development, it accomplished that goal with its introduction of the first Wave Ball, which won numerous awards for its unique and creative design. Since then, its advanced technologies have been integrated into many other WOW projects. In 2006, the firm presented the "Wave It" at the World Pool Fair in Lyon, France, where it won the Innovation Award. WOW also has combined various technologies from its generators to create tailor-made solutions under the name of Wavolution. To learn more, visit http://wave.wowcompany.com/en.
