New Customized Training Program, LxSolutions, Focuses on Physician Leadership
Tampa, FL (PRWEB) September 15, 2015 -- The American Association for Physician Leadership® is launching LxSolutions, a tailored leadership development service for health systems, hospitals and physician groups.
LxSolutions’ customized training program will help health care organizations of all types develop their physicians with the leadership talent necessary to improve and thrive in today’s increasingly complex health care environment. This program offers a combination of on-site, online and remote programs to health care organizations in order to facilitate leadership development for physicians at any point in their career paths. At some level, all physicians are leaders.
“There’s a growing body of evidence showing that well-trained physician leaders are at the forefront of improving quality, safety, efficiency and value in health care,” said Peter Angood, MD, FACS, FRCS(C), MCCM, president and CEO of the American Association for Physician Leadership. “In developing this new service, our goal is to help health care systems and physician groups assess and educate their physicians as leaders and to help implement the necessary improvements for their delivery systems as a whole.”
LxSolutions is designed to provide customized solutions to help health care organizations achieve better results within several leadership and administrative areas, including change management, physician engagement/integration and strategic planning. The program assesses the physician leadership profiles for each client at individual and organizational levels, provides specific leadership education and management training as needed and then assists in the implementation of strategic solutions.
“The American Association for Physician Leadership provided a wonderful opportunity for me to learn the nuances of administration while interacting with like-minded peers in my community,” said Neil Roy, MD. “I would do it ten times over.”
Online or on-site classes at clients’ locations are taught by association faculty members, which include industry experts as well as experienced academics. Specific client needs are customized and then matched with high-quality professionals who are hand-picked by LxSolutions to support the organization’s goals.
