ASNC Announces Annual Scientific Session Plenary Speakers to Discuss Healthcare Policy and Physician Payment Updates
Bethesda, MD (PRWEB) September 16, 2015 -- The American Society of Nuclear Cardiology (ASNC) announces that the ASNC2015 Plenary Session, to be held on September 17, 2015 at the Marriott Wardman Park, will feature Mr. Harold Miller, President and CEO of the Center for Healthcare Quality and Payment Reform, and Susan Winkler, Managing Partner of Leavitt Partners. Miller and Winkler will lead the presentation which will provide an emergent focus on health policy and payment regulations. ASNC2015, ASNC’s 20th Annual Scientific Session, is a three-day educational event offering the latest innovations in cardiovascular imaging, and brings together physicians, service line and practice executives, scientists, technologists, nurses and industry executives from around the globe.
Harold Miller is a recognized national expert on healthcare payment and delivery reform. Miller has authored published pieces on healthcare payment reform and payment delivery in Health Affiars, the Massachusetts Hospital Association report, and the Health Care Payment Systems in the Governors Association report. In addition to his with work with CHQPR, Miller served as President and CEO of the Network for Regional Healthcare Improvement and serves as the Strategic Initiatives Consultant to NRHI.
Susan Winkler, former Chief of Staff for the Food and Drug Administration, has expansive health care and regulatory knowledge. Before being appointed as Managing Partner at Leavitt Partners, she served as the senior advisor for FuturePanelTM, a group of health care leaders who have helped shape and influence the future of the US healthcare system.
ASNC’s legislative advocacy efforts continue to bring the concerns and issues of the field of nuclear cardiology to government agencies and Congress. On September 17, ASNC will offer members a half-day program of advocacy, education and lobbying on Capitol Hill.
