Unlimi-Tech Software, Inc., an Emmy® Award winning pioneer in managed file transfers and creator of FileCatalyst, announces today that their value added reseller agreement with Spanish system integrator Unitecnic Media Solutions has resulted in FileCatalyst being used by Royal Media.

Unitecnic has partnered with FileCatalyst to provide the latest in broadcast technology to their media industry clients looking to increase the speed of file transfers without compromising reliability or security. The FileCatalyst platform is immune to packet loss and latency while transferring large files over geographically separated locations, a necessity for Unitecnic’s clients. While other methods of file transfer are unable to keep up with increasing file sizes, FileCatalyst ensures the transfer of any file, of any format or size, at speeds up to 10 Gbps.

One of Unitecnic’s clients is Royal Media. Royal Media is a Mediapro company that has the rights to the Real Madrid TV Channel. When the Real Madrid Football Club is on the road for training, trips, and events, on the road collaborators follow the team to shoot video footage. Through the use of FileCatalyst accelerated file transfer solutions, once the video footage is shot, clips can be sent quickly to Mediapro for editing before being submitted to Real Madrid for publishing on their website. FileCatalyst was chosen for two reasons - the ease of use of FileCatalyst HotFolder, which allows for scheduled and automated file transfers, and for FileCatalyst’s security features that guarantee the security of files during transfer.

“We are very happy that Royal Media has chosen to use FileCatalyst,” said Jordi Panella, CEO of Unitechnic Media Solutions.“We are proud to provide our customers with the best technology solutions, which is one of the reasons we chose to partner with FileCatalyst.”

“By partnering with Unitecnic, we have extended our reach to new users around the world,” said Alan Atkinson, Unlimi-Tech’s Vice President of Business Development. “It is exciting that our solutions are being used by the Royal Madrid Football Club, which broadcasts into more than 50 countries across Europe.”
