Stretch, Gillespie join Dimalanta Design Group
(PRWEB) September 18, 2015 -- Dimalanta Design Group, a Cincinnati-based marketing and brand management firm, is pleased to announce that Mike Stretch and Andrea Gillespie, formerly of the Mason-based graphic design and identity management firm Branding Ground, have joined the company, as of August 1. Branding Ground will fold its existing business into Dimalanta Design Group.
Stretch, owner of Branding Ground, will serve Creative Director at DDG, while Gillespie will be Creative Manager. Stretch brings with him his existing client base and expertise in graphic design, branding, message development and client-focused management. In his new role at DDG, he will oversee all creatives for the company, working with existing administrative, marketing, design and public relations professionals to meet client needs.
At Branding Ground, Gillespie worked on and managed the design process for various projects and clients. In her new role at Dimalanta Design Group, she will utilize those skills through graphic design and creative direction.
“Dimalanta Design Group is truly blessed to have professionals of Mike and Andrea’s caliber joining our team,” said DDG President, Jessica Wittmer, “I’ve known Mike for years and had the privilege of working with him on many occasions. His abilities as a design professional are only exceeded by his unmatched passion for client success. We are excited to see their expertise, vision and enthusiasm bring to Dimalanta Design Group and know that our company, and more importantly, our clients, will benefit immensely.”
Stretch has been working in design since graduating from the prestigious University of Cincinnati College of Design, Art, Architecture and Planning (DAAP) in 1981. After a stint working in the agency world, Stretch and his father partnered to open and manage “Surf Cincinnati,” a Cincinnati-area water park. During his time there he utilized his design experience working on the attraction’s signage, advertising and commercials.
Stretch demonstrated his strong entrepreneurial spirit when he started his first design business, Pine Creek Design, in 1993. He spent several years in the early 2000s as Vice President and Art Director at Print Management, and then founded Steadfast Studios, a full service graphic design firm in 2006. His collaboration with a web developer led to the creation of Branding Ground in 2011.
“I am very excited to be joining the brilliant team already in place at Dimalanta Design Group,” said Stretch. “I know that Jessica and I share a philosophy of building a culture in which people care about each other, the work they do and the success of our clients. It truly means a lot to us to see our clients succeed. I look forward using my experience and skillset to contribute to that success in any way I can.”
Stretch and his wife reside in Mason. They have three children, ages 14, 18 and 20. A history buff, Stretch has been involved in museum exhibit design, as well as numerous preservation projects at national and state parks, including the Perryville Battlefield State Historic Site in Kentucky and the Patton Museum of Leadership at Ft. Knox. He is also involved in “At Work on Purpose,” a Christian Business Ministry and spent many years advising the City of Mason and Festivals of Mason on their many special events.
Gillespie earned a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Visual Communication Design with a minor in Photography from The Ohio State University in 2011. She and her husband Chris are parents to Korrie and welcomed a new baby Ethan Christopher in to their family at the end of July. In her spare time (what little there is), Gillespie enjoys singing, playing guitar and photography.
Dimalanta Design Group is excited about the addition of Stretch and Gillespie and their leadership of the company’s new in-house creative department. The opportunity to expand the range of creative services will greatly enhance DDG’s ability to assist their clients in reaching their marketing goals.
