Bambeco Launches First Line of Bath Linens, Combining Luxury & Sustainability
Baltimore, MD (PRWEB) September 17, 2015 -- The new collection is made entirely with 100% organic cotton, certified by the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) and colored with dyes that are Oeko-Tex Certified as nontoxic. Organic cotton grows naturally, without pesticides or chemical fertilizers, so the resulting material is pure and safe. The factory where the collection is made has been family-owned and operated for nearly a century and uses an on-site water treatment facility to further reduce its environmental impact. The local community of workers near the factory is also provided with free healthcare and water-generated power from the factory.
The collection features a full range of bath linens, including oversized bath sheets, versatile bath towels, hand towels, and washcloths in a thick, absorbent 700-gram weight. Towel gram weights measure the density in grams per square meter, with anything over 600 considered premium quality. The collection also includes bath mats at an impressive 1000-gram weight.
“The bath is meant to be an oasis at home and we wanted to find a way to combine that luxury and comfort with our sustainability mission,” Susan Aplin, Bambeco CEO and Co-Founder said. “The fact these towels are made with such care for the environment and the workers who craft them just makes them that much easier to enjoy.”
