Grammy-nominated Mastering Engineer Emily Lazar Discusses Her Craft at IMSTA FESTA New York, A Music Technology Expo
New York, NY (PRWEB) September 22, 2015 -- Emily Lazar, the first female mastering engineer to be Grammy nominated for both Album and Record of the Year will share insights on the music industry as keynote speaker for IMSTA FESTA New York. The celebration of music technology is hosted by the International Music Software Trade Association (IMSTA) and is scheduled for Saturday, September 26 at the SAE Institute New York located at 218 W. 18th Street, 4th Floor, New York, NY.

Lazar is founder and president of The Lodge, an audio mastering facility in New York City’s Greenwich Village. Her credits include working on over 2,000 albums with artists including Foo Fighters, David Bowie, Rza, Destiny's Child, Sia, Vampire Weekend, Beck, Haim, Sky Ferreira, Mika, Brandon Flowers and Peaches.

IMSTA FESTA will also feature song reviews where attendees receive a learned appraisal of their songs from industry insiders. The day will conclude with the crowning of the IMSTA Songwriting Competition regional New York winner.
