Arlington Heights Author and Chief Learning Officer for Health Education Group Entertains Kids with New Musical Holiday Children’s Book:"The Musical Adventures of Grace"
Arlington Heights IL (PRWEB) September 19, 2015 -- Health Education Group™ [HEG] announces the nationwide release of a new children’s paperback book, “The Musical Adventures of Grace: Winter,” which is the first fun-filled seasonal adventure book series written by Kenneth E. Korber. The hardback edition of the book is set for nationwide release on the last week of September.
“Winter” tells a story where a grace note is transformed into a little girl through the magic of a holiday concert, because she wants to be a “big note” and find out where the notes go after the music is played...
The idea of Korber’s “Musical Adventures of Grace” series sparked from the author’s casual question to his cello-playing son, attending Lawrence University in Appleton WI.
“What are those little notes next to the big notes on your music sheet?”, where Adam answered, “They’re grace notes, Dad.” And that was the kernel for “Grace”.
In the three stories that follow in “The Musical Adventures of Grace,” Grace meets new friends and learns more about the magical things that can be accomplished through creating, playing and listening to all kinds of music.

The book series is also part of a national effort to embed music education within early childhood development center curricula, through HEG’s Healthy Music Project™. To that end, HEG has begun supporting academic research projects with grants and is seeking additional collaborations within the music world through the Healthy Music Project™ platform.
Korber has been working in U.S. health care since 1991, and has been at the patient’s bedside, in the operating room and in the classroom setting as a teaching faculty member. He has also written in textbooks and medical and surgical professional journals since his training as a Physician Assistant. “The Musical Adventures of Grace: Winter” is his first attempt at children’s fiction. Korber was born and raised in Long Island, New York, and currently lives in Chicago, Illinois with his wife Marcia and son.
