Retrofit Expands Advisory Board with Experienced Walgreens Professional

Retrofit’s board is composed of a multidisciplinary team of prominent weight-loss experts who provide scientific oversight for the organization.

Prior to joining Walgreens, Macpherson worked for WebMD where she managed a portfolio of health and wellness products that combined the human touch of a health professional with sophisticated technology. Her background also includes leadership of the Weight-control Information Network (WIN), an obesity information clearinghouse and call center from the National Institute of Diabetes, Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK), a part of the National Institutes of Health (NIH). Macpherson also served as assistant director of education for the American Institute for Cancer Research.

Macpherson, a registered dietitian, earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor and a master’s degree in human nutrition from the University of Minnesota.
