BLUE, the movement fueled by the spirit of denim celebrating creativity, collaboration, and community, will return for its second consecutive season at COTERIE. The special section, prominently located in the Javits Center lobby, will feature an interactive exhibit featuring the work of today’s leading denim designers. Music will be the main catalyst for these custom one of a kind works of art as the designers will interpret one song and bring it to life through one piece of women’s denim apparel. The exhibit will serve as a platform for unbridled creativity and inspired denim design.
COTERIE will partner with ISKO™, the world’s leading ingredient brand in quality denim manufacturing and WGSN, the leading trend forecasting company, to host and moderate a panel discussion on the spirit and future of denim featuring some of the leading minds in the industry. This denim and cocktail fueled event will be held on the first day of the show Saturday, September 19th at 5:30pm at Affirmation Arts which is located across the street from Javits Center at 523 West 37th Street.
They will also jointly present the inaugural BLUE DENIM AWARDS to be presented to brands in three categories: Innovative, Inspired, and Emerging.
The premium brands participating will be featured in BLUE’s site-specific editorial publication, also creative directed and produced by FLAUNT. This commemorative community defining magazine will be distributed internationally following COTERIE with FLAUNTS’s Fall Fashion Issue, CALIFUK, which combines California and UK culture, which will also be available on site.
