Describe Reinvents The Way We Share Photos Online
San Jose, California (PRWEB) October 28, 2015 -- Around 2 billion photos are shared on Facebook alone every day. That’s a lot of photos. An estimate says that about 3 trillion photos will be shared this year.
It is already established that photos are a very major part of people's online lives, as much as living the instances in those photos is a part of their offline lives. But how much of these instances lived offline is actually captured by the photos shared online? Photos for most people are reminders of the memories they may have lived. But in the current format of sharing photos on conventional social networks, can photos on their own convey the memories attached to photos to the people seeing those photos? Well, not really, not a lot! This changes with Describe.
Describe is an iPhone app (http://apple.co/1K9pXoo) using which, every time users share a photo, they can also record up to 15 seconds of selfie video telling the backstory of that photo. Every post created on Describe can also be shared to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, WhatsApp, Messenger, SMS, Email or anywhere else.
Describe has raised a seed funding of $300,000 to turn photos into meaningful content by using Describe's (Patent Pending) Hybrid Content Format (HCF).
Describe can be the perfect platform for journalists, celebrities, photographers, travellers, brands etc. On an internet that is mapped in only four formats, namely image, video, audio and text, Describe's HCF offers a truly disruptive solution for making the information shared online much more enriching and engaging.
