Ideal Innovations Awarded Contract to Develop Online Legal Library for the GLIN Foundation
Arlington, VA (PRWEB) September 21, 2015 -- The GLIN online legal library will allow participating countries and international organizations to post authentic copies of laws, regulations, judicial decisions and other legal materials, making this information freely available to anyone in the world with an internet browser. This system will replace the earlier version of GLIN of the same name that was operated by the U.S. Law Library of Congress starting in 1996 and decommissioned in 2012 due to funding constraints.
“We are excited to partner with I3 to develop a new and modern version of the GLIN online legal library as we reestablish the GLIN network of governments and international organizations” said George Spina, President of the GLIN Foundation.
“GLIN will again become both an essential resource in the field of comparative law research and, perhaps more importantly, a structural tool strengthening and enhancing generally recognized broad international development goals and the rule of law. GLIN will be the only database of authentic texts of legal materials provided directly by member state governments in a single repository designed to allow free access and enhanced search capabilities.”
“I3 looks forward to supporting the GLIN Foundation in this unique and important opportunity” said Bob Kocher, President and Chief Executive Officer of I3. “I3 is a natural fit for developing the GLIN web solution as it leverages our technical abilities and our vast experience in delivering software solutions for international users.”
