Buffalo, NY (PRWEB) October 05, 2015 -- Scientifics Direct is now offering exclusive Mars Meteorite Prints with authentic specimens for sale online. These limited-edition prints include a verified specimen of Martian meteorite with a reserved availability of only 1,000 pieces. The meteorite specimen is professionally framed and mounted behind glass which is then encompassed by a wood frame measuring 11” x 14”. This allows for an elegant display of this rare sample of Martian real estate.
The Mars Meteorite Print with Specimen includes a fragment of NWA-7397, also classified as Achondrite, Martian Shergottite (enriched Permafic Poikilitic). This is one of the 126 approved meteorites classified as Martian, making it a rare and timeless piece. On the back of the mounted fragment and limited-edition print, you’ll find the full original of provenance is disclosed on a certificate of authenticity.
Discovered in Northwest Africa, this specimen of Mars meteorite was specifically found in Smara, Morocco and purchased in June of 2012. Comprised of a distinct elemental and isotopic composition, this specimen was identified and authenticated as NWA-7397. The complete specimens are partially covered in fusion crust with an interior of larger ovoid crystals in a finer grained matrix.
With a NASA spacecraft yet to return from the Red Planet, meteorites originally sourced from Mars that have struck the Earth are the only way to obtain a sample of Martian rock. Martian meteorites are authenticated and the specific elemental makeup of NWA-7397 can be viewed by visiting the Meteoritical Society’s website.
These limited edition framed prints are produced specifically for Scientifics Direct by Century Concepts International (CCI) and are now available for purchase online through the Scientifics Direct website. Due to specimens being limited, only 1,000 professionally framed and mounted Martian fragments are available.
