Etymotic Brings Safety Earphones and Earplugs to the 2015 National Safety Council Congress & Expo in Atlanta
Elk Grove Village, IL (PRWEB) September 25, 2015 -- Etymotic Research, inventors of the high fidelity, in-ear earphone, and developers of industry-leading hearing health products, today announced it will exhibit its line of hearing safety earphones and earplugs at the 2015 National Safety Council Congress & Expo (Booth #4229), September 28-30 in Atlanta, GA. Featured will be high-definition passive and active (electronic) earplugs, earphones and headsets designed for those who work in high-noise industrial environments.
The newest addition to Etymotic’s line of safe-listening products is the HD•3 high-definition, noise-isolating headset, which combines HD•5 Safety Earphones with an in-line microphone for communication by smartphone. Both the HD•3 and the HD•5 earphones are engineered for safe listening while providing exceptional sound quality for workers who listen to music or other audio content on the job. Use of HD•5 earphones and the HD•3 headset even at maximum volume on portable players or smartphones is within OSHA Permissible Exposure Limits.
HD•15 High-Definition Electronic Earplugs are ideal for people who work in continuous loud noise from power tools, machinery, trucks or construction equipment, and want both maximum protection from loud impact noise and natural hearing when no background noise is present. Circuitry in HD•15 earplugs automatically changes output levels as input levels change. Hearing is natural until sound reaches unsafe levels. As sound levels increase, earplugs gradually provide 15-dB sound reduction. Natural hearing is restored when noise returns to safe levels.
The company will also exhibit its ETY•Plugs® HD Safety Earplugs, the world’s highest definition ready-fit earplugs. ETY•Plugs HD earplugs are constructed to replicate the natural response of the ear canal so that when sound enters the earplug, it is reproduced unchanged, the same as the ear would hear it, only quieter. They reduce sound levels evenly by 20 dB across frequencies so speech and environmental sounds remain clear and natural, not muffled as with foam earplugs.
The NSC Congress & Expo brings together the world's largest annual gathering of safety professionals. The nation's leading safety advocate for more than 100 years, the National Safety Council is a nonprofit organization with more than 50,000 members and the mission to save lives by preventing injuries and deaths at work, in homes and communities, and on the road through leadership, research, education and advocacy.
