ADDISON, Ill. (PRWEB) September 22, 2015
B2B Industrial Packaging, one of the fastest growing stretch film, steel strapping, and strapping tool repair providers in the U.S., is pleased to announce that packaging industry standout Bill Drake is now the company’s new president.
Drake has 36 years of experience working in the packaging industry, most recently as Director of Distributor Sales for Signode Packaging Systems in Glenview, Ill.
B2B Industrial Packaging CEO Mike Theriault said, “We are very enthusiastic about bringing Bill on board. His track record in terms of management, sales, and vision is unparalleled in this industry.”
At B2B Industrial, Drake has full responsibility for profit and loss. “I have an excellent starting point,” he said. “B2B Industrial Packaging already has very high quality experienced people—many of whom are industry experts. They have depth and quality in their product offering and deliver a very competitive packaging solution. They have made their mark with service and we will build on that.” He plans to double the company’s size organically and through acquisitions within five years.
B2B Industrial Packaging’s Vice President of Sales Pat Yonkus said, “Bill has a wealth of industry knowledge and is focused on continuing our success. His outstanding leadership skills will be key as we move to the next level.”
B2B Industrial Packaging recently acquired Anasco, Inc., one of the most prominent distributors of fastening and packaging systems in the U.S. This is the largest packaging industry acquisition to occur in the Midwest in recent years. The acquisition brings a wealth of new opportunities for B2B Industrial Packaging and an opportunity to fully employ Drake’s experience, team building and leadership skills.
One of his immediate objectives is to make the transition as seamless as possible for Anasco employees and clients. “We are gaining access to their fastening business so we will have additional products and solutions to offer our existing client base,” he said. “We want to provide all of our clients with the cost-effective solutions that they depend on to be successful. This, in turn, will continue to drive our growth.”
Drake has an MBA from the University of St. Thomas, Minneapolis and a BA in Communications from California State University, Fullerton.
Servicing more than 5,000 active clients, B2B Industrial Packaging sells a full range of packaging equipment and supplies including steel strapping and stretch film to clients primarily in the Central Great Lakes, the Central Plains, California, and Texas.
