Felix & Paul Studios Launches State-of-the-Art VR Sound Design Studio
San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) September 21, 2015 -- Felix & Paul Studios, the leading creator and producer of cinematic live-action virtual reality experiences, today announced the launch of a separate division—Headspace Studio—focused 100% on sound design and sound mixing for virtual reality experiences. Headspace Studio will deliver state-of-the-art sound for live action VR experiences being produced by Felix & Paul Studios, as well as for other VR creators across animation, computer-generated graphics (CGI) and live action VR experiences.
Headspace Studio is the first sound studio entirely focused on the creation and production of immersive 3D 360° soundscapes for virtual reality content. The studio most recently created the sound for the VR experiences Jurassic World: Apatosaurus, Cirque du Soleil Inside the Box of Kurios, New Wave from VRSE and a CGI project for The Mill on the Oculus and Samsung GearVR platforms.
Jean-Pascal Beaudoin, a veteran sound designer in the emerging field of 3D audio for live action virtual reality and Director of Sound Technology at Felix & Paul Studios, has been named Head of Sound Design of Headspace Studio. Beaudoin has extensive experience in the world of audio post-production and is driven by a combined passion for cinematic storytelling through sound and immersive audio technology.
