Vigil to Celebrate the Life of Paul Lee Set for Sept. 22
WHITTIER, Calif. (PRWEB) September 21, 2015 -- Local autism moms are working along with the family of Paul Lee to plan a celebration of life vigil on Tuesday, Sept. 22 from 7 to 9 p.m. at 9401 S. Painter Ave., Whittier, Calif. 90605, located in the quad of the Sierra Education Center. The family is encouraging the public to join them in celebrating what would have been Paul’s 20th birthday. Everyone is asked to wear baby blue shirts, which was Paul’s favorite color. Cash and check donations will be accepted at the event. Please make checks payable to Eiden Lee. Autism Live will be live-streaming the vigil so that people from across the country can join the memorial. To watch, visit http://www.autism-live.com or http://www.youtube.com/autismlive. Public parking will be available in the large lot off of Mulberry Drive. Parking for the media and handicap is available in the small lot off Painter Ave. For up-to-date information on the vigil, visit the “In Loving Memory of Paul Lee – You Won’t be Forgotten” Facebook page.
“We’re asking the community to come celebrate the life of my brother Paul,” said Paul’s older sister, Eiden Lee. “He will always be in our hearts and will never be forgotten.”
Several autism organizations and the tight nit autism community have come together to help plan the vigil. In addition to Autism Live streaming the event, Fullerton Cares, a local autism organization, has donated a generator and lighting. Center for Autism and Related Disorders (CARD) is donating food for the vigil volunteers. Classrooms will be available for grief counseling and private prayer. Instead of bringing flowers and posters, the public is invited to attach a baby blue ribbon on the fence prior to or during the vigil. The vigil organizers and the Lee family would like to thank all those who made contributions and helped with the vigil.
Deacon Mike Freeman from St. Bruno Catholic Church in Whittier, Calif. will be performing the vigil. Grace Community Church in Whittier, Calif. will provide volunteers and pastors for individual prayer, with Don Sanderson as the lead pastor.
Out of respect for the family and Paul, please understand that this is not the time or place to protest, voice your frustrations and/or concerns. It is a time to support the Lee family and mourn the loss of Paul. If you would like to voice concerns, ask questions or share similar stories please email PaulLeeBill(at)gmail(dot)com.
