Scott Sandell Joins Lime Connect as Special Advisor
New York, NY and Menlo Park, CA (PRWEB) September 23, 2015 -- Lime Connect (Lime) is pleased to announce that Scott Sandell, Managing Partner of New Enterprise Associates (NEA), has joined the not for profit organization as Special Advisor.
Sandell, who has personally led investments in industry-transforming companies like Bloom Energy, Data Domain, Fusion-io, Salesforce.com, Tableau Software, WebEx and Workday, will support and advise on strategy as Lime Connect expands its programs, and enhances its presence in Silicon Valley. One of only six investors to be named to the Forbes Midas List every year since 2007, he also is dyslexic – and is a frequent speaker about the gifts that accompany dyslexia that have led him to be so successful in the venture capital arena. Scott holds an MBA from Stanford and an AB in Engineering Sciences from Dartmouth College. He also served as Chairman of the National Venture Capital Association (NVCA) from 2014-2015.
Tom Wilson, chair of Lime Connect’s board of directors, says “Lime Connect has admired Scott’s business acumen and role as a true leader in changing the way the world views disability – proving the real value of people who happen to think differently, and bringing attention to people with disabilities as highly sought-after talent. We are excited about our engagement with him.” Sandell, speaking of his role with Lime Connect, states “as a venture capitalist, I review business models and assess potential of investments. I like to invest in people's dreams, and I believe in Lime Connect’s dream of the future for people who happen to have disabilities. I am proud to support Lime’s work.”
Lime Connect is a not for profit organization that is rebranding disability through achievement. The organization’s focus is to attract, prepare and connect high potential university students and alumni for scholarships, a Fellowship Program and internships and full time careers with their corporate partners – showcasing the vast strengths and benefits that are found in disabilities and providing candidates who happen to have disabilities the confidence to realize their dreams.
