ML Furs, a leading national furrier, is pleased to feature the classically trained dancers of the Colorado Ballet in their Fall/Winter 2015-16 season look book, entitled “Fur en Pointe—A Night at the Ballet.”
Marks-Lloyds Furs, more commonly known worldwide as ML Furs, was pleased to work with the Colorado Ballet under the creative direction of Gil Boggs in a partnership that showcased Morgan Buchanan, Kevin Hale, Tracy Jones, and Domenico Luciano. The dancer’s grace and dramatic appeal in a variety of fur coats, hats, vests, and accessories was shot on location at the Ellie Caulkins Opera House in Denver. Dance and fashion are embodied art forms that influence each other. Featuring mixtures of movement, tantalizing textures and haute hemlines, the look book showcases a variety of luxurious fur for the upcoming fall and winter season.
The pairing was a match made in heaven. “Is there anything more beautiful and dramatic than the ballet?” says Kimberly Gross, Chief Marketing Officer. “When it comes to elegance and poise, these images or rather pictures are worth a thousand words. This was an opportunity that we cultivated—not only because of the beauty of the dancers, but because we also love to support our local community and the creative arts.”
The “Fur en Pointe—A Night at the Ballet” look book features a mix of dancers and models wearing furs in a variety of colors and styles. Hairstylists and makeup artists for the shoot were Katelyn Simkins and Jillian Berres. Photography services were provided by Zorn Photography. Fur styling was designed by ML Furs and Dahlia Weinstein, Models used were Alexis Broker and Tom Firth.
